Racing transfers to Belmont on Saturday with a number of promising types set to line up across the eight race card.
The Team Pearce trained Vital Silver was beaten in his return, but is expected to springboard off that performance and prove very hard to beat in the seventh event.
Heavily supported to start the odds-on favourite, Vital Silver just struggled to drop his rivals over the 1200m journey, gunned down late by Rock Mylady.Going into that run with just the sole trial under his belt, he is expected to improve sharply racing second up and he is sure to relish the step up in trip.
Vital Silver is unbeaten over 1400m (3/3) and has drawn to get a lovely run just off the speed for Jarrad Noske. He continued to build with each performance last preparation and the clock certainly backed up the strength of his form.
Only lightly raced this has clearly been his target since sent to the paddock in November and he should take a power of beating. As much as 5/2 is being offered about his chances, I have him marked even money — it's time to bet up!
The cerise and white look set to dominate throughout the day with the Team Williams trained Stageman a worthy standout in the Quaddie.Only lightly raced, Stageman tasted his first defeat last start when bumping into the very talented Fabergino.
A game performance to finish second, he is expected to take plenty of improvement from that effort and like the fact he has been kept fresh (28 days).Pike continues his association with the 3YO and while you have to respect Sophia's Secret, would prefer her over further.
The draw is a bit tricky, but trust in the Wizard to weave some magic.Best From The West
