Best From The West - October 20

3 minute read

The Team Williams trained True Attraction really caught the eye late last start and should prove very hard to beat in the second event at Ascot on Saturday.

An impressive winner on debut back in August, True Attraction returned from a short break (49 days), savaging the line behind Shapita.

Unsuited over the 1200m journey, True Attraction came from nowhere, only to beaten less than a length.

He was strong through the line and gave every impression he would be better over further.

On the relatively quick back up (10 days), the rise to 1500m should definitely suit and he has drawn to receive all the favours for the Wizard.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he doesn't sit far off the top, with certainly more to come judging by his latest effort.

In the relatively small field he shouldn't be spotting the leaders too big a start and with even luck he should prove very hard to hold out.

Stablemate Mississippi Delta remains a big watch fresh when due to return in the third event.

A winner of five of her eight starts, Mississippi Delta continued to raise the bar last time in culminating with a dominant display at this track over 2150m.

While obviously better over further, she appears more than capable of sprinting well fresh over the mile.

Her two trials in the lead up have been solid enough and she appears well placed down in the weights for Pike.

Although likely to get back from the wide draw, she should be very strong late.
