Capable mare Francisca looks ready to peak and win third-up at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
The Steven O’Dea-trained four-year-old looks well placed in the Racing Museum Plate over 1400m.
Francisca is racing in good form having run close placings at both starts so far this preparation and was terrific last time when she raced wide but kept coming to miss narrowly in a benchmark 75 at this course and distance.
That was the performance of an imminent winner and she has scored third-up before so looks set to produce her best.
All three of Francisca’s career wins have come at today’s distance and the drop back to class 3 company sees this as a winnable assignment with Boris Thornton back aboard.
The Tony-Gollan trained stayer High Wind could be ready to strike at each way odds in the BRC Memberships Benchmark 75 over 2212m.
The six-year-old looks close to a win having finished runner up at his past two outings, the latest when beaten 1.3L over a similar journey at Doomben.
High Wind comes into this contest fourth up so should be hitting peak fitness and has improved his rating with each outing this time in.
If he can do the same again he could take beating with jockey Brad Stewart likely to secure an ideal run in transit from the inside stall.
