Rosehill Gardens has a real international flavour this Saturday with the $10 million James Squire Golden Eagle (1500m), attracting a star studded line up with four overseas raiders all with proven Group 1 credentials.

Our best of the day comes up in the $3 million Russell Balding Stakes (1300m), with the wonder mare Bella Nipotina, who was a tenacious winner of the Group 1 The Everest last time out.

Tomorrow, the Ciaron Maher trained seven-year-old mare will attempt to defend her title in this race after defeating Private Eye and Think About It last year, and smash through the $20 million prize money   barrier and sit second to Winx on the all-time table.

From the good barrier, Craig Williams has a few options and is expected to stalk the fast tempo and let her explode late with her devastating finish to score her eleventh win from 56 starts. 

Our next best comes up in the Toyota Forklifts BM78 Handicap (1100m), with the underrated gelding Uzziah.

The Scott Aspery trained six-year-old has a dynamite fresh record and returns from a let-up after demolishing a similar field in this company over 1200m at Randwick on September 7.

Tomorrow he drops back to the 1100m and gets the services of Zac Wadick's 3kg claim from the good barrier. 

Currently sitting around the $7 quote after $15 was available when markets were first released on Wednesday, he looks great each way value and will prove hard to run down again.
