Mahisara claimed the Sandown Stakes for the second year running.
Mahisara came across quickly from barrier eight and settled nicely outside the leader. He was suddenly under pressure coming the turn as the tempo picked up but he kept battling on well and drew to the lead at the 100m. He then fought back to score well by three quarters of a length.
Go The Knuckle was back in last place to the 600m. He put in a good run in the centre of the course in the straight and finished well for a good second with Galah battling on nicely for third after being in fifth spot to the turn.
The favourite Richie’s Vibe was the same most of the way and seemed to have every chance before finishing fourth while Lady Of Harrods led the field, grabbed a break on straightening before tiring in the latter stages for fifth.
