Riziz proved too good in the Matrice Stakes on Cup Day in Adelaide.

It was a strong win to Riziz who was forced to race three wide without cover in fifth position in the run before sprinting strongly in the straight and then fending off the late challenge of You’re So Good on his outside.

Riziz is a tough under rated sprinter who was good in winning again today his ninth from 22 stars and fifth at stakes level.

You’re So Good was good in defeat. She went back from her wide gate (10) but was still three wide in the run settling down in eighth position. She tracked the leader into the race and was closing on him the whole way to the line.

She was only second up today and will appreciate a step up in distance, it was a good effort.
