Lucky Tom soon crossed to the front and was able to set a reasonable pace (first 800m 47.23), and was full of running approaching the home turn.

He sprinted clear at the 200m and then drew right away for a decisive and impressive victory, his second win in five starts.

Goldie’s Image was seventh on the rails and was held up for a run on straightening. She was eased across heels at the 200m and ran on very well late to grab second. It was a nice effort and she looks suited to further.

Our Rock O’Reilly had a good trip behind the leader before moving through to second on turning for home. He then kept battling on for a sound third after having every chance.

Kelvin The Kruel was eighth on the rails, got an inside run at the turn and went to third at the 300m. He then held on fairly well for fourth while the favourite Elitist also seemed to have every chance. She was handily placed, briefly looked a threat when she moved up at the turn but then just kept battling on to finish fifth.
