Extra Zero was eighth between runners, got a good run through nearing the home turn and went to third at the 200m. He then kept fighting on quite well for second.

The favourite Big Memory settled well in third place, moved up coming to the home turn and challenged on straightening. He then kept battling on under his top weight (60kg) for a sound third.

Martinvast was near last to the 600m, he was held up for a run in the early part of the straight and made good late ground for (2.7 lengths) fourth.
