Banca Mo wins 2015 Mornington Cup Listed $350,000 at Mornington (VIC), 2400m.

Tasmanian Banca Mo was smartly way and settled well outside the leader (Entirely Platinum). He went to the front on turning for home, then fought back strongly when challenged and drew away again nearing the post to win by almost a length in a good staying effort.

Big Memory was third most of the way before putting in his claim nearing the home turn. He looked the winner at the 200m and then battled on for second.

Don Doremo settled well in seventh place on the rails. He got through to fourth shortly after straightening and then fought on quite well for third.

Wish Come True was sixth, one off the rails, improved (wide) from the 700m, challenged at the home turn and then kept battling on for (1.9 lengths) fourth.

The favourite Akzar was near last in the large field before making a wide run (with cover) from the 800m. He fanned very deep at the home turn and ran on quite well under his 59kg for a sound (2.7 lengths) fifth.
