The Cleaner wins 2015 Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes Group 2 $250,000 at Moonee Valley (VIC), 1600m.
The Cleaner was taken to the front and ran along in front as is his usual style stretching the field out over plenty of ground. He went for home with 600m to run getting all of his rivals off the bit well before turning for home. He straightened two lengths clear turning for home and held that margin the whole way to the line. A typically tough on pace performance.
Bagman ran really well first up from a spell. He raced in seventh position one off the fence about seven lengths from the leader. He travelled well in the run and commenced a four wide move from the 650m. He turned for home on the outside and closed strongly for second.
Dibayani enjoyed a nice run in the race in fourth position between runners. He made a three wide move at the 650m but was pushed out four wide on the home turn. He battled on gamely for third not having a lot of racing room in the straight.
Contributer had every chance. He enjoyed a nice run in fifth position on the fence. Dunn pushed out into the clear three wide on turning for home but he found little in the run to the line to finish a disappointing fifth.
