Star sprinter Super Winner had to share the spoils on Sunday evening however his performance in dead-heating for first was ultra impressive.
Allotted the topweight in the Kranji Stakes A event, Super Winner was baulked at a crucial stage passing the 300m before picking up late to dead-heat with the Alvin Tan trained Laser Storm.
His performance in doing so was ultra impressive as he lost virtually all momentum when trying to take a narrow gap between Goal Keeper and The General.
As a result Laser Storm got the jump on Super Winner and quickly drew a length clear and in truth looked to have the race won.
But such is the case with Super Winner his willingness to win shone through with the son of Kaphero really digging deep to wear back the margin.A winner of 11 of his 18 starts, his victory on Sunday was arguably his best given the bad luck he faced in the straight.
Successful in bringing up the hat-trick, Super Winner will now set his sights on Korea when due to contest the inaugural Keeneland Korea Sprint on September 11.
Clearly in career best form Super Winner is expected to make his presence felt in his first International Trip.“It was a nice last prep run before going to Korea. The only concern I have for him there is how he will handle the deep sand, it’s a big unknown quantity," trainer Theo Kieser said on Sunday.
His Timeform peak rating achieved first up leaves him more than capable of fighting out the finish and thus he creates plenty of interest for Singapore.Only tried once in Group 1 company, Super Winner clearly held his own when finishing third behind Zac Spirit.
Beaten three-and-a-half lengths, Super Winner has since gone to another level and is clearly a galloper heading in the right direction.With Zac Spirit since retired, Super Winner is now arguably one of Singapore's leading sprinters and given he is still only relatively lightly raced he can progress further.

On Saturday the Daniel Meagher trained Presenting Win proved most impressive when breaking through for his maiden win in the fourth event.
Having stuck to his task well on debut behind Maximus, the son of Starcraft took a good step forward when making light work of his rivals over 1200m.Leading throughout Presenting Win never gave his backers any anxious moments in what proved an armchair ride for Erasmus Aslam.
Jumping away well from the middle draw, Presenting Win easily found the front and travelled strongly throughout.Slipped a bit of rein passing the 500m, Presenting Win drew two lengths clear and once clicked up on straightening the race was all but over.
Ridden out to the line, Presenting Win never gave his rivals a hope saluting by close to five lengths.Clearly an above average maiden winner he appears more than capable of that next step and is a must for your blackbook.
