This Listed 1100m Open Sprint was run at a solid enough clip and saw a tight finish with less than half a length separating the first four home. An in foal Shezhardtocatch scored by a short head and only got up on the line after sitting seventh the fence and then angled out into clear air the run home. She reached third at the 200m and kept coming to win her sixth race from twenty-nine starts and now has a Listed success to go with a pair of G3 wins. Snowdrop was nabbed on the line after looking the winner from the 400m. She sat handy the outer and took over a long way from home in her first attempt at blacktype. Perfect Fit was just a nose from second after carrying 60kg fresh up and trailing the leaders to the home turn. Fire Jet was a huge fourth after being sixth and wide throughout then coming up deeper near the home turn. The 4yo was racing for the first time at this level so his effort after an overland trip was commendable indeed to be so close up at the line. Red Striker ran on well from last on settling and is a next upper. Biggin Hill ran on along the inner okay and Irish Moon fought on okay under 60kg. Snapshot disappointed as did Passing Shot with the latter one of two on pacers that both stopped badly. Some form will come out of this over Summer and Autumn whether it be in pure sprinting or fillies and mares feature events.
