Darryl Horner achieved a career highlight when he guided Angelology to victory in the SA Grand National Steeplechase which was run over 3500 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.

Prepared by Patrick Payne Angelology trailed the firs for most of the event before commencing a late run on the home turn and then going on to win.

Trainer Gordon Richards kept his good winning race record intact when the two year old White Kaps brought up his first win at his third start.

Having the services of apprentice Anna Jordsjo White Kaps was well placed throughout the event.

Master jumps trainer Eric Musgrove continued his winning strike rate in the cross country racing when his charge Abebe took out the 3500 SA Grand National Hurdle.

Having the services of Martin Kelly Abebe raced in a forward position throughout.

Trainer Patrick Payne won his second race for the day when Hussy’s Glow took out the 1300 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Raquel Clark Hussy’s Glow came from a rearward position and made steady ground late in the event to win.

Much improved galloper General Custer won his second Morphettville Parks race in a fortnight when he took out the 1950 metre fifth race.

Prepared at Caulfield by Andrew Noblet and having the services of Jason Holder General Custer steadily improved from a rearward position.

After running three placings, Itz Invincible broke through for its fifth win in the 1000 metre sixth race.

Being under the care of Murray Bridge mentor Matthew Seyers and having the services of Dylan Caboche Itz Invincible led all the way.

Counter Pulse brought up his second successive win when he took out the 1250 metre seventh race.

Having the services of Clare Lindop and winning five out of seven on the Parks track the Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas prepared Counter Pulse led all the way.

Former NSW galloper sudden Wealth gave Morphettville based trainer Will Clarken a win in the 1400 metre final event.

Guided to victory by Todd Pannell and winning its second race at start number seventeen Sudden Wealth came from a worse than midfield position with a withering run in the straight.
