Gawler Races Review on 5th July 2024

Jake Toeroek got straight back to business after holidaying in Europe after he rode Six Stars to a win in the 1200 metre opening event at Gawler on Saturday.

Being under the care of Richard and Chantelle Jolly Six Stars  began well and raced in a forward position to bring up his first win start eight.

Richard and Chantelle Jolly made it two wins in two races when Shakespeare took out the 1700 metre second race.

Guided to victory by Stacey Metcalfe Shakespeare came from last along the rails to win.

Murray Bridge based trainer Justin Pickering continued his good run when he trained Leader's Pride  to a win in the 1700 metre third race.

Presenting apprentice Alana Livesey with her eighteenth city winner for the season Leader's Pride  was seen running on from a midfield position.

As the result of a protest Jake Toeroek landed his second winner for the afternoon when Hard Prince was awarded the 1500 metre fourth race.

Giving Richard and Chantelle Jolly their third winner for the day Hard Prince race steadily in third position for the majority of the race.

Apprentice Alana Livesey laned her second winner for the day when she guided Spelman to a win in the 1700 metre fifth race.

Winning his first race in 1059 days the Mark Lewis prepared Spelman led all the way.

Richard and Chantelle Jolly continued their massive day when Klabel gave them their fourth winner in the 1200 metre sixth race.

Bringing up his third winner for the day Jake Toeroek steered Klabel from a midfield position to win.

The local training partnership of Darren Magro and Aimee Bush was all smiles when Badiss took out the 2100 metre seventh race.

Guided to victory by Justin Potter Badiss led all the way to record a huge victory.

Favourite Child continued her good run of form when she brought up her third win in a row in the 1500 metre eighth race.

Bringing up a win for apprentice Rochelle Milnes the Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea prepared Favourite Child raced in a forward position.

Coming out of the Gawler stable of Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor Everglade brought up her second win in a row in the 1200 metre final event.

Having the services of Jason Holder and showing plenty of promise Everglade came from a better than midfield position to meet with success.
