Morphettville Parks Races Review on 7th September 2024

Jockey Jason Holder continued his Parks track on a good new season form when he rode Gumeracha Cracker to a win in the 1250 opening race on the Morphettville Saturday.

Coming off a previous start third on the Parks track the Andrew Gluyas prepared Gumeracha Cracker  came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Victorian apprentice Taitam Bull brought up an early winner when Babayka took out a 1000 metre handicap.

Trained on the course by Paula Trenwith Babayka came from well back with a strong run to break his maiden status.

Trainer Ciaren Maher brought up an early two state double when Flamin' Roman won the 1950 metre third race.

Guided to victory by Todd Pannell, Flamin' Roman raced one off the pace to record a narrow victory.

Showing good form at his previous two starts call Me Vexatious took out the 2250 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Callan Murray the Nicole Irwin mentored Call Me Vexatious  was seen one off the pace before sprinting away to take the event easily.

Trainer Andrew Gluyas brought up a double when his charge Goldrush Guru took out the 1250 metre fifth race.

Making it two wins in a row the Caitlin Jones guided Goldrush Guru came from well back with a long sustaining run in the straight to record a narrow win.

The father and son training combination of Anthony and Sam Freedman were well pleased with the win of Struck n Gold in the 1250 metre sixth race.

Having the services of Teo Nugent Struck Gold raced two off the pace before gaining his ascendency in the straight.

Mornington trainer Jason Warren continued the good run of Victorian trainers when his charge Freak of Nature took out the 1400 metre seventh race.

Ridden by Zac Spain Freak of Nature came from a better than midfield to bring up his fifth win from fourteen starts.

The Morphettville stable of Richard and Chantelle Jolly had a change of fortune when Deepfloat Diva won the 1000 metre eighth race.

Ridden by Jake Toeroek Deepfloat Diva was seen running on from a midfield position.

Trainer Justin Pickering and his apprentice jockey partner Margaret Collett were all smiles when Jilladora took out the final event of 1400 metres.

Coming off a last start fourth at Horsham Jilladora came from last with a withering run along the outside rail to meet with success.
