Morphettville Races Review on 27th October 2024

The Cranbourne stable of Robbie Griffiths and Matthew De Kock got their day off to a flying start when their first starter Divino Cavallo won the 1050 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Leading apprentice Rochelle Milnes struck early when she rode Dolcemente  to a good win in the 1800 metre second race.

Trained on course by John Hyam Dolcemente raced in a forward position to win her second race from seven starts.

The consistent Watchmewin kept his good form intact when he took out the 1200 metre third race.

Having the services of Lachlan Neindorf the Andrew Gluyas prepared Watchmewin came from a rearward position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Coming off a last start third the David Brideoake and Bruce Jenkins prepared Rogue Rocker  was victorious in the 1200 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Jacob Opperman Rogue Rocker  came from a rearward position to clinch the event.

The strong stable of Michael Hickmott prevailed in a close finish when Rabtat  took out the 2020 metre fifth race.

Guided to victory by Todd Pannell Rabtat came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Emerging trainer Sarah Rutten kept her strike rate intact Obi took out the 1600 metre sixth race.

Having the services of Kayla Crowther the eight-year-old Obi came from well back to power home for his first win in 810 days.

Kayla Crowther brought up a race-to-race double when she rode Pure Bliss to victory in the 1050 metre seventh race.

Trained by Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea Pure Bliss was first up after a spell came from a midfield position to meet with success.

Jockey Callan Murray landed his second winner in two days when he rode Call Me Vexatious to victory in the 2500 metre eighth race.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by Nicole Irwin Call Me Vexatious was always handy to the lead.

Kayla Crowther returned to form with a vengeance when she brought up her third winner for the day when Plus Fours took out the 1200 metre final event.

Prepared at the Morphettville stable of Phillip Stokes Plus Flours led all the way.
