Boom gelding Moment Of Change has caught the eye at his first official public outing since arriving in Sydney last week by winning a 900m trial at Rosehill on Tuesday morning.

Hype surrounding Moment Of Change has increased following the barrier trials conducted at Rosehill where the unbeaten three-year-old was most impressive when winning Heat 9 of the morning.

The Peter Moody-trained gelding led throughout in the 900m trial for three-year-olds and under the guidance of Blake Shinn recorded the fastest heat time of the morning, stopping the clock at 53.24 untested.

Triple Crown Syndications-raced Hot Snitzel finished a Short Head away in second although the multiple stakes winner was niggled along by rider Hugh Bowman to stay in touch with the leader.

Heat 9 also contained fellow stakes performed gallopers Salade (3rd), Free Wheeling (5th) and Ambidexter (7th).

The trial for many in this field is their final hit-out prior to resuming in the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m) at Warwick Farm on February 18.

Manawanui is now expected to resume in the Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes as well after the Ron Leemon-trained three-year-old won the first heat of the morning, an open heat over 1030m, by 2.5 lengths.

Other notable trial performances included Beaded winning a 900m Open trial (Heat 4) and Gai Waterhouse-trained Pierro taking out a 900m 2YO heat.

Two other 900m juvenile heats were conducted at Rosehill this morning with the Gerald Ryan-trained fillies Snitzerland and My Shabella winning their respective trials.

My Shabella recorded the fastest time of the three juvenile heats (53.62) and also the second quickest out of the ten 900m trials conducted during the morning.

The unraced Haradasun filly has now trialled twice, winning her first at Canterbury last month in similarly eye catching fashion.

She is a half sister to multiple stakes placed sprinter Leapfrog and stablemate Regal Banter.
