Multiple Group placegetter Rekindled Alliance has died this morning after suffering a heart attack during a routine track gallop.

The Paul Messara-trained galloper was nearing a spring return and was expected to trial next week.

Unfortunately, the spring has lost another quality galloper after the well bred four-year-old suffered a heart attack immediately after concluding morning trackwork.

A full brother to dual Group 2 winner Rekindled Interest, Rekindled Alliance was starting to build a solid career record of his own.

Rekindled Alliance broke maiden status on debut before proceeding to accumulate four Group placings during his three-year-old season.
