The $150,000 Listed Wyong Gold Cup on Friday has attracted strong nominations who will use the 2100m as a launch pad into spring features.
13 have been nominated for the Listed feature including the Gai Waterhouse-trained import Julienas.
The in form Chris Waller duo of Kelinni and Stout Hearted have also been nominated as they look to work their way into calculations for spring staying features.
Each are nominated for both the Group 1 Metropolitan (2400m) at Randwick on October 6 and the Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) at Caulfield a fortnight later.
Peter Snowden has nominated Yulalona while the field could be further bolstered by interstate raiders such as Storm Burst and Racing Heart.
Also on the program is the $120,000 Listed Mona Lisa Stakes (1350m) for fillies and mares.
Winter Stakes winner Irish Dream will look to build on her black type winner as can Canberra Cup winner Fill The Page, She Goes To Rio, Dowager Queen and Pane In The Glass.
A number of these mares have been dual nominated to contest stakes races on Saturday.
Nominations for the Wyong Cup have been extended until Tuesday with acceptances taken on Wednesday.
