Moody adds interstate spice to the Wyong Cup following his decision to send Storm Burst from his Melbourne stable for the Listed race over 2100m.

Moody's stable jockey Luke Nolen has been Strom Burst's regular rider through her outstanding winter campaign that has seen her win four races including her last two starts over 2000m at Flemington and 2040m at Moonee Valley.

Storm Burst, a four-year-old by Danehill Dancer, is yet to race outside Victoria through a 25-start career.

Trainer Chris Waller, aiming to win the Wyong Cup for the third successive year after wins with Hawk Island and The Verminator, has culled his representation back to only one runner after deciding not to declare Stout Hearted an acceptor.

He will rely on the fast improving Kelinni, winner of his last two starts over 2200m at Warwick Farm, with Blake Shinn taking the ride on his first day back from suspension.

Storm Burst drew the coveted rails barrier in a field of 10 with Kelinni drawn in gate six.

Gai Waterhouse, also chasing her third Wyong Cup win, will take on Kelinni with the imported six-year-old Julienas, a game second to Kelinni when having only his second Australian start at Warwick Farm on August v25.

Julienas will be ridden by Nash Rawiller, who won his first Wyong Cup in 2008 aboard the Waterhouse-trained Bianca.

The Peter Snowden-trained Yulalona, who has had four starts in Melbourne since resuming from a spell, heads the Cup field with the topweight of 58kg.

Wyong stables trainers are well represented with four locally-trained acceptors – Gazza Guru, Beaveroo, The Paymaster and Jack's Song.

Beaveroo, trained by Stephen Schofield, is set to back up after racing at Canterbury on Wednesday.
