Mikel Delzangles has made one last fleeting visit to Australia to check in on Dunaden ahead of next week's Melbourne Cup.
The French trainer was delighted with Dunaden's final track gallop on Wednesday morning, and has since flown to America for this weekend's Breeders' Cup with Ridasiyna and Flotilla.
“He will just do his regular cantering and work for the rest of the week,” Delzangles said of his Caulfield Cup winner.
Delzangles made a similar trip in the lead-up to last month's Caulfield Cup, flying halfway around the world to check on Dunaden early in the week before returning only days later to watch his superstar grab a third win on Australian soil.
Dunaden won last year's Melbourne Cup after claiming the Geelong Cup.
