15 trials were conducted at Randwick on Monday with the first three heats run on the course proper.

Under the guidance of Hugh Bowman, Prosir opened up proceedings with his first trial win this prep after running third behind stablemate More Joyous at Randwick on February 1.

The Choisir colt won his heat by two lengths ahead of Secret Admirer and Colorado Claire, running the 1000m in a time of 58.7secs on Slow going.

Expect the colt at this stage to resume in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) on March 2.

Stablemate Sweet Idea won Heat 2 for juveniles over 1000m.

The Gold Coast Magic Millions runner up took out her trial by a length over Shahad and John Thompson-trained Spurrendous.

The only two-year-old heat of the morning over 1000m was run in 59.30secs.

Another Waterhouse two-year-old in the form of newly acquired filly Greytfilly also won her heat over 740m beating fellow Waterhouse youngsters Paris Match and White Dove.

Exciting autumn prospects continued to emerge at the Randwick trial heats this morning with Hay List showing he is right on track for a first up run in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) next month.

Hay List stopped the clock at 46.5secs over 800m a short half head in front of Fontelina.

The Statue Of Liberty gelding will have another trial before resuming, likely during Warwick Farm heats scheduled for February 26.

Sydney's next set of trials will be conducted at Rosehill tomorrow morning with the first heat scheduled to start at 8.15am.
