We have a game with a strange feeling of discombobulation. Are Collingwood truly a valid Top 4 side, are Gold Coast just a home ground wonder or is it everything in between?
One thing we know for sure is them coming together at Carrara means the outcome likely defines those first thoughts.
Gold Coast yet again went away from home, had a bit of a go and … LOST. They just can't seem to travel. There were stages of the Freo game on Sunday where they might have really caused a drama.
But without being able to finish off (hurt by King out and other changes) they didn't ask enough questions. Plus the big names got enough of the pill but failed to either feed the scorers or impact the scoreboard.
Someone has to do that more because in Collingwood they know they will have company all night.
That said the Pies were pretty plain for the first 2/3 of the Kangaroos game but once sprung into life, it was a landslide.
