We end as we often do in the West and this will be a very watchable match if recent history is to be relied upon.
Obviously they are at differing stages of their redevelopments but there are plenty of green shoots as the saying goes.
The Eagles were more than acceptable against Essendon. There were times when a side of greater experience and confidence could have tightened the screws harder.
Plus missing Kelly and Reid hurt. Having Allen back helped though. In McGovern and Barrass they have a backline easily built around.
Hawthorn showed plenty of poise in a match of high emotion. It could have weighed them down. They were too good in the end.
Having a smaller forward line has allowed them to play scrappier but in exciting ways. The likes of Moore, Ginnivan, Watson etc will cause issues.

Harley Reid is back though and will be a coiled spring. You can imagine Sam Mitchell would love to be playing on him himself back in his golden period.
