In the old days this would draw 90,000+ and be the main focus of attention. It's now shuffled away to the 1pm Sunday slot in 2024.
You can't help but think that Collingwood are nothing but a bit part player in their Premiership defence.
They could well just win here but knocking over the Tigers is not getting much kudos.
The defence is a shambles, the attack is worse and the midfield bar a few are old. Last year was a Flag well deserved but hardly of the highest order.
Changes will be coming but doing it this week might not be all that forthcoming in providing obvious results.
That is because Richmond has also sent themselves into oblivion. They did have a bit of a dip in Adelaide but couldn't sustain it.
And with the No 1 spot in the Draft very much in play now, they will be fast tracking their rebirth and that cannot hurt.
