Sydney had all the answers in their preliminary final against Port Adelaide, cantering to a 36-point win.

Result: Sydney bt Port Adelaide 14.11 (95) to 8.11 (59) at the SCG on Friday night.

They said it: "We are a different team to 2022; we're more mature and the boys are excited." - Sydney superstar Isaac Heeney's attention shifted to the grand final soon after the win.

Key moment: Tom Papley kicked a goal after the quarter-time siren to give the Swans a nine-point lead, then sparked a melee, Sydney never looked back.

The stat: The Swans are into their fifth grand final under coach John Longmire. They became only the third team in VFL/AFL history to lose a match by 100-plus points in the regular season then win a final against the same opposition.

Injuries: Sydney key forward Logan McDonald's foot injury will be a talking point throughout the week.
