Racing and Sports will provide analysis of many games in the 2023 AFL Season.
We'll endeavour to run through the form, incorporate appropriate stats and also supply a betting prediction which won't always just be who will win.
COLLINGWOOD v ADELAIDE
Sunday 25 June @ MCG
Could we see a potential Final here as the Magpies host the Crows in a battle of the aggressive birds.
Naturally the Pies arrive in a better position on the Ladder but they did lose and were pretty well outplayed in the King's Birthday game.
Of course they made their traditional late comeback which caused the last minute to be a nerve jangler. They never give up.
For the first time in a long while their midfield didn't get easy access to the ball and so the Daicos' had less impact. They touched it but without enabling their forwards good sights at the goals.
They will need to be on their game if the Crows bring the same attacking flair from last outing. There is no hope of Taylor Walker doing what he did last time but anywhere near half that is a bonus.
The other negative is that Collingwood won't allow the halfbacks the same run and carry they were by a weak West Coast forward line. Theirs work much harder.
Adelaide would not enjoy the fact they've lost the last 7 against this opposition and strangely only one of those was at the MCG.
You'd think the black and whites would love being back at home too. They've had the chance to reset and come home with a bang. That said they have been 'up' for a long while. Could the week off hinder more than help?
The Crows form at home is superb – away it falls fast. So easy to find Collingwood in this. It's just a matter of the margin.
Match Selection: Collingwood by 18 points
Suggested Bets: Collingwood 15.5+ @ $1.80
