The big clash from earlier in the year is rekindled but now it is so much clearer where they stand. At the time there were question marks.
However after last week, they head here off losses. Any more slip ups and you can quickly lose the spot in the Eight in this crazy year.
Collingwood was involved in a good old fashioned roller coaster game on the Gold Coast. It was no surprise that the Suns were far more competitive.
But when the margin got to 5+ goals, it was only because it was the Pies that you still held out hope. Well they were in front under a Quarter later.
But two late goals and some fatigue looked to set in. Their heroics were not to be ending well.
Mind you Essendon fared much worse. After leading not long after Half Time, it was 10 goals to 2 after that point.
That cannot bode well. The barometers like Stringer, Merrett and Redman were held and it was left to lesser names.
