After an incredible week of scrutiny, an Adelaide Oval match up will have serious finals calculators humming.
Ken Hinkley will welcome a slightly easier time – albeit their performance was hardly exemplary in Melbourne.
They have loved playing at Marvel Stadium and yet could only kick 8.14 but it was enough to hold on against a St Kilda side that cannot score.
Were it not for Jason Horne-Francis who was so good, there were plenty of disappointments. A forward line without much structure is making life hard for the midfield.
In the Western Bulldogs they will meet a team sitting outside the Eight but gaining confidence. They were hardly awe-inspiring over the Kangas but a win is a win.
They can't be relying on the Bont all the time no matter how good he is. He may finish like Chautauqua and win his first Brownlow. Hate to see him fully fit and healthy.

While Port has played the Dogs well, it's much more even in Adelaide which is strange.
Not convinced about Port and if the Dogs are fair dinkum they win. However it is a crazy year.
