It may be too early to say but are Brisbane in the throes of the GWS/Carlton revival from last year?
Both woefully out of action at halfway, they exploded late and made Prelims.
Now while neither made it all the way, Brisbane brings in better pedigree having only missed the flag in 2023 by under a kick.
What Brisbane does have to do is tidy up a few things. They were not great against the Demons but got out of jail. The midfield was OK but got thrashed around the ball.
Every chance they have more luck this week as the Crows are not as strong in that area.
To their credit they made a strong comeback against the Giants but that was at home and they had time to prepare.
Can they do it twice on the trot against a better side? If the first meeting of the year is anything to go by then we're in for a corker.
