China's Yin Ruoning has completed a sensational weekend by scoring a popular home country victory in the LPGA Shanghai tournament, with Australia's Minjee Lee finishing eighth.

Yin followed a nine-under 63 on Saturday with a 64 on Sunday to finish on 25-under and win by six shots, from South Korea's Kim Sei Young and Japan's Mao Saigo in equal second.

The 22-year-old Yin conceded no bogeys all weekend, and only three for the tournament, with two on Thursday and one on Friday en route to her third tour victory.

Lee, starting the day seven shots off the lead in fifth place, improved from a Saturday 71 to card a closing three-under 69, finishing 11 shots off the pace on 14-under.

South Korea's Choi Hye-Jin shot the round of the day with a 10-under 62, to finish joint fifth.
