Manly plan to ease Tom Trbojevic back into action, with the Dally M Medal-winning fullback set to return to the NRL in the centres.

Trbojevic has had a wretched run with injuries over the last three seasons and has missed a big chunk of the 2024 campaign with hamstring trouble.

The 27-year-old hasn't played for the Sea Eagles since round 10 but is in line to return next Saturday when Manly face North Queensland in Townsville.

The Sea Eagles have said they will bring Trbojevic back into the NRL at centre, rather than at his customary position of fullback.

Trbojevic is no stranger to the centres having played there for NSW and Australia.

The move is designed to ease the load on Trbojevic's body, after Manly coach Anthony Seibold flagged earlier this month the mileage covered at fullback was causing added stress.

Trbojevic spent a large portion of last season undergoing rehab work in the United States in an attempt to eradicate his long-standing hamstring issues.
