Young Socceroo's head coach Paul Okon has named a 23-man squad for training in Brisbane ahead of this year's U19 Asian Championship.

Coach Paul Okon on Wednesday named his 23-player squad which includes Jets quintet Josh Brillante, Connor Chapman, Mitch Cooper, Adam Taggart and goalkeeper Jack Duncan.
The team will head to Brisbane for a training camp starting on Friday, before flying to Indonesia for the under-22 qualification tournament in July.
"This camp will be very useful to get an idea on the fitness levels of each of the players," Okon said.
"This knowledge is important to know as we will be playing every second day in Indonesia at the under-22 qualifiers and it will be quite demanding on the players in the hot and humid conditions."

"These are the first steps in what are going to be a very important six months in the lead up to the World Cup qualifiers," Okon added.
