Racing WA recently announced that Aldo Cortopassi will be the new Harness Driving Mentor after his predecessor, Trevor Warwick, retired after 12 years in the job.

Barry Howlett was impressed by his filly Sugar Delight who claimed her maiden win on debut in a dominating display in the first at Albany, a night dedicated in memory of passed members.

Albany is already 7 meetings in of their 10 on offer this season in the Great Southern, with Friday February 2 boasting an eight-race card.

Friday night’s meeting at Northam on July 14 was one of two meetings in WA for the night, and with seven races on the card, driving honours on the night went the way of Aldo Cortopassi, who drove a race-to-race double.
