Trainer Adam Trinder chalked up his second win for the night in Launceston on Friday when his consistent galloper Sharma’s Last ($3 – $6) defied a betting drift to make it eight wins from 16 starts and three-in-a-row this campaign when he finished powerfully to down the hot favourite Charlie Bucket in the Flinders Island Cup (1600m).

Bucket full of promise

Cups prospect Charlie Bucket found the winners stall, albeit narrowly, in the BM68 (1400m) in Launceston on Friday night. In doing so, he provided relief for his trainer, Glenn Stevenson, who has had his share of issues with the six-year-old.
