Savabeel is set for a clean sweep of New Zealand’s major stallion awards thanks to his Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Lucia Valentina.

Volume of success is not the sole measure considered when assessing the annual Breeder of the Year Award as was evident in Hamilton on Thursday night.

Debbie Rogerson knows dual Group One winner Costume is worthy of a tilt at Saturday's $A1 million Gr.1 Mackinnon Stakes at Flemington, but isn't sure just how the Savabeel mare will measure up.

Costume will go straight into the $A1 million Gr.1 Mackinnon Stakes without another start, Hamilton trainers Graeme and Debbie Rogerson have confirmed.
