The second running of the Heidi George Classic is set to kick off this week with heats at Echuca and Swan Hill.

There are five meetings set to take place on Thursday including at Echuca where a 10-race program is scheduled.

An extra meeting has been added to the program to make up for those lost due to wet weather.

Predicted hot weather has brought forward the race times at Echuca.

Heavy rain in the north of Victoria has resulted in the transfer of the Tatura meeting on Friday.
