Singaporean trainer Desmond Koh secured the biggest win of his career when he took out the $1.15 million Group 1 Emirates Singapore Derby (2000m) with Chase Me on Sunday.

A barrier trial on Tuesday morning by Perfect Pins had trainer and jockey all smiles in the lead-up to the Group 1 $1 million KrisFlyer International Sprint over 1200m on May 20.

Jockey Jose Verenzuela rued the one that got away after he came within a whisker of landing his first Singapore feature race at his very first day of riding back at Kranji last Sunday, but he now hopes a bigger prize will not elude him in the future.
