Kiwi filly Quintessential added her name to the illustrious list of winners of the $400,000 Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm heading a New Zealand bred trifecta.

Kiwi fillies continued their recent dominance of the Queensland Oaks last Saturday at Eagle Farm with Quintessential taking out the 2400m event in testing conditions.

Saturday's Group One Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm was a triumph for New Zealand's Waikato Stud with the nursery responsible for three of the first four placegetters including the winner Quintessential.

The Group 1 Queensland Oaks has gone the way of a New Zealand based filly for the third year in a row with the John Sargent trained Quintessential outstaying her rivals on a rain soaked Eagle Farm.

Kiwi trainer John Sargent has won his first Australian Group One with Quintessential in the Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm.
