Despite having strength in numbers with as many as 18 runners fielded over 10 of the 12 races on offer on Friday, trainer Mark Walker had to endure a long wait before Bazinga saluted at long odds in the third-last race, the $75,000 Kranji Stakes C race over 1200m on Polytrack.

Trainer Alvin Tan admitted to a few jangled nerves when former A$600,000 purchase Imacruiser was sent to his stable after a relatively inconspicuous stint under the care of trainers Michael Freedman and David Kok, but Sunday’s sterling win certainly brought him a huge relief.

Sunday winner Imacruiser gave jockey Danny Beasley a special feeling when he came from the clouds to snare the $75,000 Goodwill Stakes, a Class 3 Division 1 race over 1200m.

He was adjudged to be about 87% fit for the Kranji A yesterday but still had no problems in establishing his dominance over the rest of the field.

Smart Australian-bred gelding Arowana Dot Com improved on his already imposing record with victory in the $95,000 Open Benchmark 83 Stakes over 1200m on the Polytrack on Sunday.
