Australian trainer Cliff Brown bookends the 14-horse field in the $350,000 Group 2 EW Barker Trophy (1400m) on Friday night, but hopes to finish at least at the top end with either Poseidon or Certainly.

Poseidon has bounced back to form with a terrific win in the Racing Guide Classic over 1400m at Kranji on Sunday.

Trainer Cliff Brown franked the close affinity he has enjoyed with the Racing Guide Classic after he landed the race sponsored by the leading racing publication for the third time in only four renewals on Sunday.

The much in-form Poseidon appears well placed to return to the winner's stall, when due to contest the ninth event at Singapore this evening.

Poseidon franked his current sparkling form with a brilliant win in the $100,000 Super Easy 2013 Stakes, an Open Benchmark 97 race over 1400m on Sunday.
