Two locally trained gallopers, Sadler’s Wish and Shamekha’s Choice, will be tuned up for Sydney campaigns at Port Macquarie’s New Year’s Day TAB meeting on Tuesday.

Two of Port Macquarie “warriors” - a heart surgery survivor and a gelding plucked from retirement - could add to the folklore of country racing by winning the rich Woop Woop Cup (1800m) at Wauchope Jockey Club’s big meeting at its “new look” Beechwood Road racecourse at Wauchope on Boxing Day.
