Tom George has announced the retirement of Saint Are, who was brought down in the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree on Saturday.

Tom George is having to re-organise Saint Are's path to the Randox Health Grand National because of a change to the rules regarding hunter chases.

Saint Are is on course to try and go one place better in the £1-million Crabbie's Grand National, which takes place over 30 fences and four miles, two furlongs and 72 yards on April 9 at Aintree.
