Newcastle trainer Kris Lees is hoping to plunder Saturday’s Randwick meeting to boost his spending power at next week’s New Zealand yearling sale at Karaka.

The 2014 Stradbroke Handicap winner River Lad will make his debut for the Kris Lees stable at Gosford on January 8.
