The feature Listed Christmas Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield this afternoon has assembled a handy field of summer sprinters headed in the weights by last year’s winner Zedi Knight.

Another mare prepared by Black Caviar's trainer Peter Moody is ready to take centre stage in Wednesday's $300,000 Mornington Cup in a bid to extend her wining sequence to six.

Champion sprinter Black Caviar picked up where she left off from last preparation with an easy win in the $200,000 Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at a packed Moonee Valley racecourse on Friday night.

Six rivals will take on Black Caviar in Friday's Group 2 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley where the mare will jump from barrier 1 as she attempts to stretch her unbeaten run to 17.

Second Effort is having just his second start this camapign on Saturday but will be splled after the Doveton Stakes to be set for the Wangoom in May.
