“Probably more the Good 3 (last start) that he didn’t let down but obviously perfect track conditions here today and it is improving all the time with this weather we’ve got.

“Alana, she got the luck at the right time - luckily for her - and the horse was good enough. The horse doesn’t look like he really knows how to put them away yet but there’s plenty more to come.

“Lloyd loves giving young people a chance in the industry and my son strapped his first winner for Lloyd and it is a great advert for young people coming through a great system there and it gives them an opportunity to develop a special bond with the horse and you rely on their feedback.

“Hopefully we can get plenty more young blokes like him coming through our system.”

“I was speaking to Lloyd yesterday and he said ‘just wait, be patient with the ride and he’ll definitely let down when you give him a bit of room’. He did do that today.

“He did a bit of bobbing and weaving there but I was very impressed with the turn-of-foot that he showed me when we got that gap.”
