“He tries really hard, this horse, and I’m very happy with that. We’ll make our way to the final now and he’ll be ready to go on Oaks Day.

“I was pretty happy where he was (in the run) and they’ve been opening up on the inside (rail) those last few races and I thought he wasn’t going to get held up and he’d get through.

“He got the nice run there and I thought he’ll be right.”

“I was very confident and as I came down and spoke to Andrew before the race he was very bullish.

“Comes through that strong form reference and suggested earlier that the with the addition of the tongue tie today, he might be holding his breath and getting the tongue over the bit, but today he had a charmed run and we went up the inside which is probably a little bit rougher but it is that firm that there was no problem for him and he was quite tough.

“He was going that good and the frontrunner was going that good that he ran second. I was happy to come up the inside. The track, all day they have been winning from everywhere.

“He is going to be might hard to beat in that final (Oaks Day).

“He had to work a little bit hard but I was building confidence and he was just building nicely for me.”
