A lot of faith in Froggy: “Definitely. He has trust in us and it works.”

What make of performance: “From that barrier we didn’t have much of a choice and because he did it so easily at Moe it was worth having a go.”

Where target next: “I think we’ve got the choice of either the Vain Stakes or the McKenzie Stakes. We’ll just see how he pulls up and make a decision. He’s shown us plenty at home and it’s nice to see him gradually keep on improving.”

“We won the McKenzie with Rich Enough and ran third with Free To Move last year, so it would be nice to come back, but we’ll wait and see.”

Good run with stable: “He’s a really nice horse this bloke. I trialled him up before he ran first-up and he trialled alongside Jigsaw, so we got a bit of a measuring stick there. We were very confident when we went to the races in a maiden and just coming here today, drawn wide, it was going to be a little unknown where we would end up, but once he flew the lids I thought I’d press the issue and go forward. He’s a funny horse, because I think if you sit off them, he’ll just go with them a bit, but if he’s got his head in front, he’s got a bit of dog about him and he loves a fight and he was holding them all at bay then.”

First time back at The Valley: “Outstanding the track surface. Like a bowling green out there. It’s a pretty tough head wind going out of the start then, so it makes this blokes job look even better. You could hear a pin drop in the straight it’s that quiet. It’s not ideal the wind, but the track’s outstanding.”
