Winning Trainer: Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young (racing manager Sam Griggs speaking)

“He’s gone fantastic today. His work indicated he would put in a really forward showing. He jumped out well at Cranbourne and “Buckets” has given him a great ride today.”

Concerns in the run: “At the 600 (metres) I was saying a little prayer and to get out as I could see he was trapped in, but once the gap come he really applied himself.

“It’s great to see him win in those colours. They’ll go around in a Group 1 later today for Seymour Bloodstock up in Sydney, so it’s a really good start for the day.”

Team optimistic about his prospects this campaign: “Through the winter there is fantastic prize money on offer on a Saturday, so we’ll just try and pick off as much of it as we can.

“We’ll leave that to Trent and Nat, but I daresay we’ll see him at a mile second-up and and off that he will be hard to beat.”

Winning Jockey: Daniel Moor

“He jumped better today from one and travelled a lot closer than he has been. He has been blowing the start and getting back and making ground.

“He had the A run today and I just had to be patient. He had a good turn of foot off a moderate tempo.”

Confident of getting out: “I knew the way I travelled up that if I did get a split I would sprint. He loaded up well. He was kind, and waited for me to push the button when the split did open up.”

Carnage behind: “It was a moderate tempo, so it does lean to that sort of a run race, a muddling, ordinary messy race, so there was going to be luckless runners, but credit to my horse he loaded up. Like I said he was kind, didn’t overdo it and I knew I had to be patient.

“We were the ones to have luck.”

Luck a few years ago: “I won the Easter Cup for Saab (Hasan) after we had a really good run, but now he doesn’t put me on anymore.

“I like Caulfield, it’s a happy hunting ground. Hopefully there will be a few more.”
