On the horse: “You can't ask much more of a horse that’s had four starts for four wins. He’s a pretty immature sort of horse looking at him.
“Nick and Lloyd are giving him the time to mature and not push any further on into the spring, give him that time to thicken. He’ll be back for a nice, promising autumn campaign, you’d think.”
On future plans: “Lloyd is very hands on and he’ll be at the farm every day of the week looking at him, I suppose when he’s spelling as well. We’re lucky to have the property there, we spell all the horses at Macedon so we can keep a close eye on them on a daily basis.
“Lloyd will map out something. He’s a pregressive horse but he won’t push him too far.
“I’d think next spring he’d be looking at aiming him up to the better races if he can make that progression.”
Winning Jockey: Ben Melham
Different style of win: “It was good. It was a different race layout today as opposed to what he had been running in. He had been getting on top of the speed with cheap sectionals and in behind them today was something new for him. As he gets to better grades he’s going to need to be adaptable. It was good to see him win under different conditions today. He did a good job because he raced a little bit keen behind the leaders. When he got through, he travelled up with the second horse really well. Going around to the start I gave him a good look around. I wanted to give him a bunny to follow and I’m glad I did that. He was good.”
